Police inspector shot dead in Mon state’s village

Two persons, including local police  inspector, were shot dead at a restaurant in Oattada village beside Yangon-Mawlamyine highway in Paung township, Mon state, on 22 July afternoon.

 Locals said to Than Lwin Times confirmed the death of Police Inspector Phyo Zaw Aung and his civilian companion on the spot.

The police died from injuries at the head and chest, and the civilian was shot at his chest.

No group has claimed for this killing yet.

Last December, a police inspector and a junior police officer of the same village were killed on the road of Falap village.
