Eight resistance fighters were killed during a raid by junta forces on a PDF camp near Mya Dong village in Tanintharyi Region’s Palaw Township, the officials from regional PDF told Than Lwin Times.
The massive junta troops entered village after village in Palaw and raided a PDF camp near Mya Daung village around 9 a.m. on 18 September.
Eight PDF comrades were killed, and some weapons, including seven guns, were confiscated in the raid on the camp.
A member of Tanintharyi PDF said some PDF comrades were missing during the raid on the camp, and the details of the situation are still being investigated.
According to local defense forces, the camp was raided because of a tip-off from the informant.
After conducting the raid, junta troops stormed Mya Daung village, where all the villagers had fled, said the locals.
