Myawaddy, 6 October
A married couple was shot to death at a home in Karen State’s No. 4 Ward in Myawaddy Township on October 4, locals confirmed to Than Lwin Times.
Ko Than Htike Aung, 34, and Ma Hnin Hine Wei, 21, both of whom live on Park Road, were shot and killed at their residence at around 11:00 p.m.
The male was shot in the neck, and the female received a bullet wound in the head, and both died on the spot.
According to the residents, there are speculations that they might have been gunned down after arguing with others at a bar.
The only thing the neighborhood knows about the man is that he is a trader; they have no idea about their actual business.
More than an hour after the incident, the military council troops came to inspect the bodies and took them to the public hospital in Myawaddy District.
U Tin Maung Aye, the manager of Myawaddy Kanbawza Bank Branch 1, was shot and died at Ward No. 4, Myawaddy, on the evening of October 2.
