Military council has the effrontery to hold the 8th anniversary of Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement, while it has violated the agreement, said Duwa Lashi La, the Acting President of National Unity Government.
In his monthly public speech on 14 October, the acting president said that
He said that former NCA signatories like KNU, CNF and ABSDF have publicly declared the nullification of NCA, adding that the military council, in its action, displays a clear disregard for and violation of the NCA agreement and its principles.
He also urged international community and ethnic armed group not to participate in celebration of NCA anniversary event as the military council is brutally killing civilians, including elderly and children.
However, the military council organized the event in Nay Pyi Taw on 15October, and it was attended by seven EAO signatories and international diplomats from the countries, including China, which have maintained bilateral ties with the military council.
