Pauk, 26 October
Local resistance forces in Pauk Township, Magway region, raided some houses of militia members, (locally known as Pyusawhtees) on 23 October.
“We raided their houses after a tip-off. They fled after exchange of fire. Some arms and ammunitions were confiscated from the house of local militia leaders, “ said an official of Myaing township’s PDF.
A gun, one magazine and 20 bullets were seized from the house of U Ban Ban, who is the leader of Pyusawhtee member.
The attack was conducted by Pauk township’s resistance force ‘Bo Tasay’ and Battalion 1 of Myaing PDF.
Pauk township, a stronghold area of resistance forces, was declared under the martial law on 2 February.
The military has lost many areas of Pauk township, except urban areas, to the resistance forces in the past two and half years.
