Mawlamyine – 7 November
Officials of National Unity Government visited the Right Honorable Adrienne Clarkson, the 26th Governor General of Canada, the president of PEN International, and John Ralston Saul who is co-founder and co-chairman of the Institute for Canadian Citizenship on 2 November.
Those present at the meeting were Deputy Minister of Human Rights U Aung Kyaw Moe, and Presidential Adviser and Spokesperson of NUG U Kyaw Zaw.. The meeting focused on the development and the current situations in Myanmar, as well as the Rohingya issue and efforts to develop federal democracy in Myanmar.
NUG officials expressed their thanks to the Governor General for her continued support for Myanmar’s struggle for federal democracy.
