The National Unity Government (NUG) has announced that the revolutionary forces have attacked and captured Khampat township in Tamu city, Sagaing region on 7 November morning,
Khampat township was completely controlled after the revolutionary forces captured Khampat hill where the junta troops were stationed.
This township,located on the Kalay-Tamu Asia highway, was under attacks since 3 November and it was control on 7 November. According to the statement. , it has been announced.
The battle was jointly conducted by Tamu district battalion (2), Military Area Special Battalion (2), No. 1 Military Weapons Group, Front Command Group, CNDF TDA , RCDF and KNA-BURNA jointly attacked.
People’s Defense Forces attacked the Khampat’s junta forces at about 4:00 a.m. on 3 November, and were able to capture the town today on 7 November.
Since 3 November, the revolutionary forces have been fighting to raid the town. People’s Defense Force (PDF) and Allied forces then conquered Kawlin, on 6 November.
