Launglon, 10 November

A battle has been raging between the junta army and the revolutionary forces since around 8:00 a.m. on November 9, near Karengyi village in Tanintharyi Region’s Launglon Township, said local defense forces.

The clash occurred when a 60-armed junta column invaded Karengyi village through Kyauksin village.

Around 10 regime forces might have been killed in an hour-long battle, a member of the Launglon PDF told Than Lwin Times.

The regime troops retreated to Kyauksin village and were stationed there, said the resistance fighters.

The revolutionary forces have warned that the fighting remains intense due to the presence of soldiers and that fighting could resume at any time.

The initial fighting caused residents of villages like Thinbawseik, Pyinkyi, Karengyi, and Kampani to flee to safe places, said locals.

That junta column has advanced towards Launglon Township since November 1.

At least 10 clashes have been reported between the military regime and the revolutionary forces in Longlong Township in October, according to regional research organizations.
