Kyaikto, 24 November

A non-CDM teacher was injured by the explosion of mortar shells launched by regime forces into Tadar Chaung village in Mon State’s Kyaikto Township, locals told Than Lwin Times.

The junta army stationed at the crossroad of Kyaikto and Kinmonchaung fired three artillery shells around 9:30 p.m. on 22 November.

The explosion hit 32-year-old non-CDM teacher Daw Thi Thi on her right side of belly.

The injured teacher was given treatment by the medics from the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA).

According to local residents, Daw Thi Thi is a primary school teacher at the KNU-administered area of Tadar Chaung village school.

On October 22, three civilians were injured by junta shelling after the attack on the Kinmonchaung Police Station in Kyaikto Township.
