The Tanintharyi People’s Administrative Body urged the departmental personnel of the military council working in Tanintharyi Township to seek refuge in the National Unity Government (NUG) on November 22.

The non-CDM staff have been informed to stop their current office processes and join the National Unity Government (NUG) with the documents by December 20.

Those who want to work for the People’s Administrative Body will be assigned a short-term contract after proper screening in accordance with the CDM policy on civil servants.

The spokesperson of the Tanintharyi People’s Administrative Body told Than Lwin Times that non-CDM staff have been urged to stand with the people and join the people’s embrace as soon as possible.

He also said that if the junta staff do not join them by December 20, they will be effectively punished according to existing laws.

According to the township administrative body, 86 police and military council soldiers sided with the people in Tanintharyi township alone after the military coup.
