Revolutionary forces attacked and mined the junta’s logistic supply column in Myaing township, Magway region, and around 10 junta soldiers were killed, according to the Myaing’s PDF.

The attack took place on 19 December, when the column went out towards Hnin Si Kan village after stopping at Twingma Pyu Saw Hti village. The second commander of the column was killed due to the blockade attack by the revolutionary forces in a battle nea Tharsi village in Myaing township on 15 December.

“We heard gunshots and artillery shelling, the sound of aircraft firing on the other day.   But the situation is still unknown,” a local resident told Than Lwin Times.

The junta’s convoy was led by the battalion commander, and when they arrived in Hnin Si Kan village, they were stealing and eating food of the villagers.

In addition, they also arrested the villagers as human shields, burned down civilian homes, looted people’s properties, and asked aircraft to shoot at villages.

When that junta column left the village, they were attacked by a land mine near the Hnin Si Kan village and six junta soldiers were killed and ten were injured, according to the Myaing PDF.

This attack was carried out by the joint forces of Myaing PDF Battalion 2, 6, 7, 17, Myaing PDF Battalion 1, Company – 2 Myaing Warriors, Ahlintan Guerrillas, t MRDF and KMDF- Kamma Defense Forces.
