Yangon, 26 August
Construction of Buddha image fell into ruin in north Dagon Myothit township, Yangon, on 25 August morning.
Myanmar Fire Services Department reported some injuries in the incident occurred around 10 am.
A member of fire services said to Than Lwin Times, “It is a construction of Buddha image decorated with Dragon statue. We are rescuing workers trapped among the debris. One person got injured at his head.”
The fire services personnel used its vehicles in rescue works together with local humanitarian organizations.
