Village administrator of Thabyuchaung village was shot on Yangon-Mawlamyine highway in Paung township, Mon state.
Nai Ngwe Tun was killed while he was riding a motorcycle on the way from his home to Yinnyein North village on 28 August.
“He was shot from another motorbike. He was recently appointed as a village administrator,” said a local.
He got serious wounds at his belly and thigh, and local humanitarian organization took him to Paung township hospital.
Moreover, the administrator of Innbyaung village, Soe Mi Thu, was also shot dead by gunmen on 26 May.
