Military council arrested Daw Chaw Su Su Htwe, the chairwoman of the local humanitarian organization, Shin Than Chin Twe Lat (Living Hands), based in Thaton of Mon State, locals told Than Lwin Times.
She was arrested by the military council on the morning of December 16 at her home in Thudhamma Waddy new town, Thaton Township, with accusing her of supporting PDFs after writing a comment under the post of a PDF member who worked with a charity organization in the past, saying, “Let’s meet again as soon as possible.”
The military supporters incited the arrest of Daw Chaw Su Su Htwe, who wrote such comments, on Telegram channels, and the army arrested her later.
It remains unknown her whereabouts of Daw Chaw Su Su, and her family has not yet been able to contact her.
Daw Chaw Su Su Htwe was earlier accused of supporting the military and the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP). Some Spring Revolution supporters used to criticize her on social media.
Similarly, on December 5, the military arrested U Zwe Arkar, a resident of Mawlamyine, for sharing news about the People’s Defense Forces (PDFs) on social media and filed a lawsuit against him.
