Three civilians killed, over 30 homes destroyed by junta’s aerial bombing in KNU’s Hpapun District

The KNU’s Brigade 5 reported on March 5 that the military council’s aerial assaults resulted in the deaths of three civilians and the destruction of more than 30 homes in February alone in the Hpapun District.

In February, junta aircraft flew seven times above civilian farms and orchards in the 5th brigade, dropping 44 bombs and firing 56 mortar shells.

It was reported that three civilians were killed and four were injured in this air attack targeting civilians in February.

As a result of the military council’s airstrikes, 36 civilian homes were destroyed, as well as a car, two motorcycles, one rice mill, four tractors, one generator, a Wi-Fi dish antenna, and other items.

In addition, there were 178 clashes between the KNLA Brigade 5 and the Border Guard Force (BGF) in February, resulting in 69 deaths, including a lieutenant, and 49 injuries on the BGF side, while the Brigade 5 lost two comrades and three others were wounded, according to the statement.
