Yangon, 7 June
Famous song composer Aung Naing San and four persons were arrested for their anti-military comments on social media, according to the sources close to Yangon Region Police Force to Than Lwin Times.
He wrote a comment under the post about the killing of pro-military female pop singer Li Li Naing Kyaw on 30 May.
Myint Maung alias Ko Ni in south Dagon township, Myo Min Nyi alias Thura in Mingalardon township, Chit Oo Way in Tharkayta township and Arkar Min Oo in Pyinbongyi township were also arrested in the same case.
Military’s propaganda channels wrote to arrest the composer, and he was captured on 4 June. He has been charged with Section 505 (a) at the police station in Sanchaung township.
The female singer has reportedly died on 6 June morning from gunshot injury, and two young persons were arrested for this case. They are now held at an interrogative center in Yangon.
