Sittway, 3 July

A car carrying senior officials of Arakan Liberation Party was attacked in Sittway city, Rakhine State, on 1 July afternoon, killing three and three injured, said the locals to the Than Lwin Times.

The incident occurred in front of Sittway University as the car left from the house of ALP’s Chair Daw Saw Mra Raza Lin who recently took part in peace talks with the junta in Nay Pyi Taw.

Three wounded persons escaped from the attack.

The attacks have not been identified yet, and the military has tightened security in the area.

Than Lwin Times has failed to contact ALP’s chair for the incident.
