Maungdaw, 18 November

The Arakan Army (AA) seized the military council’s Done Nyo outpost based in Rakhine State’s Maungdaw Township on 17 November, reported the AA.

The AA launched an attack on the Done Nyo border guard post, which refused to surrender, at around 10:00 a.m. on November 16, and was able to seize it at around 1:00 p.m. yesterday.

The statement said the AA captured 18 soldiers and confiscated military equipment, including 40 guns.

The battle resulted in the injury or death of some AA troops, but the exact number was not disclosed.

The AA has warned that it will attack regime camps one by one, as long as they do not lay down their weapons.

On November 16, the Arakan Army (AA) also attacked the Paktaw police station, while the military council used the army, navy and air forces during the battle.
