More than 100 members of the National League for Democracy (NLD), including other party members were killed by military regime during more than two and a half years of the military coup, said the NLD.
It was included in the NLD’s statement commemorating the third anniversary of the 2020 general election on November 8.
According to data compiled by the NLD Human Rights Documentation Team (NLD-HRD T), a total of 1,290 party members, including the NLD representative, were arrested between February 1, 2021 and November 1, this year.
Furthermore, the military council raided the NLD party offices around 160 times and sealed off the homes of 407 NLD party members, including 182 NLD MPs, said the statement.
It is also reported that 1,498 arson attacks on civilian homes have occurred, with over 60,000 homes destroyed.
A total of 4,095 civilians were killed as a result of the incursion, airstrikes, arrests and torture, and killings by the regime troops and its affiliated group.
The NLD party has vowed to work consistently with the public, anti-regime ethnic forces, and some organizations to build a federal democratic union.
Furthermore, the NLD party has requested that various organizations, including the United Nations, and countries around the world assist in releasing all political prisoners, including party chairperson Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, as well as bringing charges against the military council’s crimes in accordance with international laws.
